e-Learning in Rise 360

My Role: Instructional Designer

Problem: Learning a string instrument like violin or cello can be done from home now with online tutors and self-study programs. But what about taking care of the instrument itself? Learners need a self-paced, intuitive guide to the daunting task of tuning the violin or cello themselves.

Solution: I designed an on-demand e-learning course in Rise. This brief, interactive course is clear, concise, and specific to the instrument at hand. Learners will familiarize themselves with the various parts and how the strings should sound (thanks to the interactive audio samples) and quiz their understanding of how the online tuner works. Bonus section includes a playful take on other key instrument care guidelines. The course can be accessed on mobile, tablet, or desktop.

Instructional Video in Vyond

My Role: Creator and Editor, Voiceover

Problem: One of the many difficulties teachers are facing this year is vocal strain. Talking all day from a distance, through a mask and over noise from open windows is taking its toll. How can we help voices to stay healthy?

Solution: This fast-paced animated video hits the highlights with clear, research-based information and advice for teachers and speakers in any situation.

Problem: Sound equipment can be daunting, and any training is quickly forgotten if you don't use it often enough. This school needed a quick and easy way to help its teachers manage the sound system without calling the technician in every hour.

Solution: This clear and concise visual guide can be accessed by anyone using the handy QR code posted on the equipment itself. The pages can also be printed and posted on the control station for those who don't have wifi access.
